Biography
Shawn Lynn Allen was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she spent her formative years of childhood. The Allentown Public Library is where her fascination with children’s books and stories first began, which created the foundation for her path in writing children’s literature. Her favorite interests are taking nature walks, outdoor running, sketching, and spending family time with her daughters. Shawn has gained a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University and is a member of the International English Honor Society.
Shawn currently lives with her twin daughters in New Jersey, writing children’s literary stories with humor, sentimentality, empathy, and historical and real-life influences while incorporating the magic of childhood.
